Fabrizio Corneli -L’immagine e il suo doppio

The exhibition is an opportunity to gain access to the poetics of an internationally known artist who plays a special and unusual search. His sculptures of light and shadow are the result of elaborate geometric calculations that give rise to images projected onto walls or floors, both indoors and outdoors.

His works "site specific" are today installed in several European and Asiatic countries and in some of the world's most important collections of contemporary art.

Silvia Evangelisti, in the introductory text to the catalogue of the exhibition, writes: "The quiet magic of Fabrizio Corneli built out of the shadows, with its immaterialit great protagonist of his art: the shadow that matches the image, transforming the memory in physical presence, the fisicit in material inconsistency, the image vision".

Unconsciously intrigued by those Renaissance artists who mediated the practice time to the figurative representation with a deep technical and scientific knowledge, Charles now creates works that generate wonder and amazement.
